Monsoon Anubodh School
.

R.E.A.D.S. was established in 1987 by Dr. Ganga R. Singh Speech Pathologist Audiologist working in S.M.S. Hospital Jaipur. Since then R.E.A.D.S. is running a special School for hearing Impaired Children recognised by Social Welfare Dept. (Govt. of India). This Institute is only one of its kind in Rajasthan - teaching special language to hearing impaired children and then integrating them to normal schools. hearing impaired children are actually able to speak along with normal teaching curriculam. 100 children have been integrated till 2005 Since its humble start in 8th December 1987 the School has been housed in a number of rented premises but the society strived hard under Dr. Ganga R Singh and today is housed in a spacious area of its own at Viseshwarya Nagar. The building has kindly been donated by Monsoon Trust U.K.

R.E.A.D.S. has started the Diploma in Special Education (H.I.). The Bachelor in Audiology, Speech, Language Pathology (B.AS.L.P.), a four year degree course and the B.Ed. Distance Education Course in Hearing Impaired from M.P. Bhoj University.
 
 

Clinical Services

The therapy clinic is open to the public and offers services to the people of all ages, from infants to adults. Diagnosis and therapy is provided to all varieties of speech & hearing disorders.
The diagnostic and rehabilitation services offered at the therapy clinic include.

  • Comprehensive assessment procedures for all types of communication disorders, for different age and language groups.
    Counseling and guidance.
  • Guidance for caregivers, teachers and employers for family, educational and vocational management.
  • Voice therapy.
  • Articulation therapy.
  • Language therapy, including reading and writing.

Latest Updates and Addition

Door Step School II
This school for Hearing Impaired Children was first started at Idgah Delhi Jaipur Bye pass with 5 Children, now we have shifted the premises to Char Darwaja near Subhash Chowk. We have 10 H.I. Children and One Special Educator. The Children are given free hearing aids, moulds, batteries and Education. We are grateful to the Monsoon Trust of U.K. for sponsoring it.

Door Step School III
On seeing the success of Door step School I and II we decided to do a survey in the western side of Jaipur at Shastri Nagar Kacchi Basti. The School is a big success we have 20 H.I. Children and 2 Special Educators. The Children are given free hearing aids, moulds, batteries and Education. We are thankful to the Arber Foundation of France for sponsoring it.
