MESSAGE FROM DIRECTOR

    I personally and on behalf of the administrative staff of READS welcome the Reader/Visitors to the website. It has been a quite tough, but enjoyable journey for all of us here in READS to attain this place in the field of Speech and Hearing to what we are today.

    R.E.A.D. Society in an example of the New Generation of India, which is hardworking, sincere and honest. I still remember 18 years ago we started R.E.A.D.S. I never thought this seed I am sowing will turn into a huge tree helping many children who are handicapped and underprivileged to stand on their feet and lead a life of dignity.

    When we started READS in 1987 there were no good facilities for the Hearing Impaired Child. Due to the immense hard work put in by me and my team we have come a long way.
    Today we have 3 Doorstep School for Hearing Impaired Children in the slums of Jaipur. We give free education to the underprivileged children.

    We have Monsoon Anubodh School for Hearing Impaired Children where we have trained special educators giving the best education to the H.I. children and then integrating them to normal school.


    We also run two Manpower Development Courses :

    1. D.Ed. S.E. (H.I.) (Diploma in Education Special Education for Hearing Impaired)
    2. B.Ed. (SE) H.I. Bachelor of Education (Special Education) Specialization- Hearing Impairment

    Here we train student to become special Educator for Hearing Impaired Children.

    READS has always tried to do quality work. We have achieved these milestones due to the untiring efforts of my team of workers for which I am very grateful to them. I would like to also thank all my donors for their support.
