MESSAGE FROM DIRECTOR

  •   Om Shri Sairam

The Year 2015-16 was a very successful year for READS

It was a very big moment for READS, when the 10th and 12th Board results of Reads Public School Dundlod were announced with 100% results. We could not believe our ears, when we were told that Ms.Preeti Meel scored 97.17% in the 10th Board Exams. She secured eleventh position in Rajasthan and 4th position in Jhunjhunu district. She aspires to become an Indian Administrative Service officer. A felicitation ceremony was held in her honor at RPS Dundlod. Her parents, eminent people from the village and Board members of READS came for the function. All of them congratulated her and gave her cash prizes. We also congratulated Sarfraj Khan at this ceremony as he scored 85.80% in his 12th board exams.

What really made all of us very happy was that these children come from the poorest strata of society and they showed such excellent results. It just goes to prove that if you put in hard work and sincerity you will definitely get results no matter what background you are from. Full marks to my chief administrator Mr.A.V. George, teachers and team for working so hard to bring this excellent result. The Management Body of READS was very happy to see this result and gave the teachers cash prizes and good salary increments.

We are also very happy to announce that King’s High School Warwickshire UK has funded a Solar Unit and Silent Generator to RPS Dundlod. READS gives a lot of importance to environment, so we specially chose a Solar Unit, which is environmental friendly.

The other very good news was that, we got affiliation for starting the B.Ed. Spl. Edu. (HI) course from Rajasthan University and Rehabilitation Council of India from the session 2016-17. READS will be the first college to start this course in Rajasthan. We have been allotted 30 seats.

READS is building teachers quarters and rooms for parents to reside in when they come for long term therapies from out of town. The floor plan was approved by Jaipur Development Authority and the foundation stone was laid on 17th February 2016.

The Diploma in Special Education H.I. programme is doing well. All the seats are full as many of the graduated students get placed in government jobs like IIIrd grade teacher and Sarve Shiksha Abhiyan.

We would like to welcome Mr. Ashish Kumar Singh, who has joined READS as a lecturer for the Diploma and B.Ed. Special Education (HI) course from July 2016.

The Three Doorstep Schools in the Slums of Jaipur are all functioning well. We have about 52 H.I. children in the schools. All the children are fitted with free Hearing Aids and are given free education. This year six of our children were integrated in normal schools
